I fell in love with Python in the summer of '02. It was like Guido was speaking directly to my soul. I spent a lot of time being frustrated with perl and php, knowing there was a better way. Discovering Django was like running across the water and having dolphins jump up to meet my footfalls. Everywhere I turned I would say "it would be great if I could just type this, and it would work" and it did. Now I'm coding two web applications in Django and converting all of my other sites to Django. I've even made a convert programmer. In two weeks she's gone from never having coded to having a simple working web app. The great thing is I'm still not even (what I'd consider) good at Django. I can't imagine how great this will be when I actually understand how to do everything.
